I’m home and back in the office, happy to help with any questions/enquiries you may have 😁

Trip summary ….
This place is definitely an experience but a FANTASTIC one and I only scratched the surface.
A few of my highlights to mention:
* The bullet train 🚅
* Mount Fuji 🗻, we were fortunate that the weather we had made it extra special as few people get to see it due to cloud cover
* Traditional Tea Ceremony
* The bowing Nara Deer 🦌
* The Golden Pavilion
But there really were so many wonderful experiences to mention them all.
To note, the local people were polite and friendly and despite language barriers always happy to help.
Japan is truly a bucket list destination. I would advise everyone to go to Japan 🇯🇵 at least once in your lifetime.

I was hosted by the fabulous Wendy Wu Tours, where everything was very well organised with a superb tour guide called Rumi.
But for the slightly more independent travellers. This I can assist with also, it’s not as daunting as you may think

Day 5

Today we travelled for our last night to Osaka.
From Kyoto we travelled by road as we wanted to stop off in Nara National Park where we got to experience the famous bowing deer 🦌 as well as stopping off to view the world’s largest Buddha statue enroute and a whistle stop tour of a typical Japanese garden (although there is a bullet train that only takes 20mins between the 2 cities)

Before lunch we had a wander around Osaka’s famous Dotonbori street where food stalls are many. In this area Japan breaks its own rules about eating on the street 🍡 in this foodie hotspot.
Following our ‘teppanyaki’ style lunch we headed for a tour of Osaka Castle, once the home to one of Japans most renowned Shogun (Samurai) warriors.
And to end a fantastic trip your time in Japan would not be complete without a visit to a karaoke booth, a really fun experience over 3hours.

Day 4

Still in Kyoto, we spent the morning being taught to write Japanese in the traditional way using calligraphy 🖌️ followed by the teachings behind the traditions of the Japanese Tea Ceremony. It was a really fab experience.
Then we took a short transfer to Kinkaku~ji zen temple for teaching Buddhist domination with its golden pavilion at its centre. These places whilst very busy with crowds are so beautiful and again the autumn colours makes November a fantastic month to visit Japan. Today lunch was traditional Japanese, giving almost everything ago I now know I’m definitely not a fan of Tofu lol. Following lunch we took another short transfer to Ryonanji Temple Rock Garden again a zen Buddhist garden where you can sit and relax in the Hojo.
Another traditional Japanese restaurant for dinner. And no Tofu in sight yay 🥳, accessed by Kyoto’s maze of a train station. This place was the best meal yet, amazing.

Day 3

After our 2 hour bullet train journey we arrived in Kyoto. Here we visited Fushimi Inari Taisha Temple which dates back to 711 AD and features a long walk through thousands of gates. The access to this shrine is fun walking through packed streets with food stalls. definitely a must see place when here.
