Aer Lingus has advised passengers of new travel document requirements for travel between the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
From 25 February 2026, all passengers, including Irish and British nationals, will be required to present a passport or an Irish passport card for travel between the Republic of Ireland and the UK.
Non-Irish and non-British nationals will be required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or eVisa to travel between ROI and the UK.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection have advised that they are cancelling previously approved ESTA applications where the photo uploaded as part of the application process was a photo of the passport photo page, rather than an actual photograph taken at the time of applying.
‼️ It is extremely important that anyone travelling on an ESTA checks their ESTA status before travel. If it has been cancelled for any reason, you will need to reapply.‼️
